        New Plymouth Ravens Inline Hockey

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED

GOALKEEPING -  The Ravens have goalkeeping equipment available for goalies especially in the younger grades. At some point in the players sporting career he/she would be expected to purchase their own equipment if choosing to become a dedicated goalie for inline hockey. However loan equipment is available on an annual basis if required.

PLAYERS  -  Players require the following equipment to enable safe playing of inline hockey.

1. Helmet with full face cage

2. Elbow Pads and Knee /Shin pads

3. Gloves

4. Mouth Guards are recommended

5. Hockey Stick designed for Inline hockey

6. Inline Skates

7. Padded pants

8. Team Uniform ( Pants & Jersey)

PARENTS - Parents are encouraged to help in various ways within the club.

Coaching and Referee Duties  - There are seminars available from time to time offering  coaching and referee development. These are offered by the NZ Inline National body and held at various rinks through the country. The club can also host these events if there are enough people interested in attending a seminar.

Assist  with Club Committees, Club Tournaments, Working Bees, BBQ’s, Club Canteen, Fundraising

Team Management/ Team Officials  -Teams are allowed up to 4 officials on the bench during a game including the Coach. The younger grades especially require “help” on the bench during games ensuring the players have water,  assisting the coach and dealing with mild injuries etc…

Spectator Support-encouraging & supportive to all teams during competition

Transport -Providing transport to players when travelling away to games

Billeting -Offers of accommodation to visiting team members.
