· Skating is a lifetime recreational activity. New Plymouth Ravens is devoted to the development of the game, INLINE HOCKEY, for all ages . · Our mission is to provide all players with the information, education, resources, support and motivation to play inline hockey. Our focus is on all levels of skill, to help develop all players into successful athletes who enjoy the game and gain from the experience. · If you are thinking about playing but don’t know where to start, get in touch with us and we will provide information and coaching to get you into the game! |

· Our club strives to provide an environment for our players, parents and supporters where they can have fun, experience an exciting team sport and gain from the experience. · Our club members are volunteers who have built their own purpose built arena. We have hosted three national championship events and the International Oceania Championships. · Along with our school league membership and players playing club hockey we are the biggest club in the country. · Our club teams play in the Central Region which includes clubs from Hamilton, Morrinsville, Whakatane, Tauranga and Waihi. The main arena facilities are based in New Plymouth, Hamilton and Tauranga with a smaller rink in Waihi. The New Plymouth rink measures 50 x 25 metres. · The season starts around April ( with team musters in February) and continues until National Championships in September and Inter Regionals in October. · Our members have been successful in being |

· selected into New Zealand representative teams on a regular basis, the number of players involved at this level increases each year. · We have an entry level programme for school league teams during the first and fourth terms of the school year. This has been hosted since 1997 and has provided many school aged children with the opportunity of experiencing inline hockey before making the jump to club team and regional league. · Our club have also contributed to the development of inline hockey for female players. Teams can be mixed gender, however we also provide the opportunity to play in “all girl” teams and have fielded both junior and senior women’s teams in past years. · We constantly seek ways to improve our development programmes for our players. · Get involved… Drop us an email! |
